What You'll Learn

Lessons are tailored to each student’s interests and goals.

Some students enjoy learning to read music and working towards exams, while others prefer focusing on playing their favourite songs, improvising, or developing their musical ear. Many explore a mixture of these.

Along the way, we build well-rounded musical skills, including:

  • Healthy technique and comfortable playing posture

  • Reading music at a relaxed pace

  • Rhythm and coordination

  • Playing songs you enjoy

  • Creativity, improvisation, and musical expression

  • Optional exam preparation (ABRSM or Trinity)

The aim is to keep lessons fun, engaging, and motivating, while helping students steadily grow as confident musicians.

Meet the Tutors.

At Taunton Piano Lessons, our tutors share one core belief: music should be as enjoyable to learn as it is to play. We focus on developing confident, expressive musicians through encouragement, curiosity, and creativity - without losing sight of the importance of solid technique and effective practice habits.

Our team is made up of experienced, young working musicians who bring real-world expertise and infectious enthusiasm to every lesson. Whether helping beginners take their first steps or guiding advanced students through complex repertoire, these tutors create a warm and inspiring environment where students feel supported to take risks, make progress, and truly enjoy the journey of learning music.
